4" Basic System Front Coilover Rear Shock Kit

The Fabtech K2183 4" Basic System is a suspension kit engineered for 2009-2013 Ford F-150 4WD vehicles, offering a balance of capability and affordability by leveraging design features from their 6" systems. This 4-inch lift system utilizes heavy-duty, 1/4-inch thick steel for its high-arched lower control arm crossmembers, providing maximum strength and improved ground clearance. For the rear, a reliable block and u-bolt configuration is employed to achieve the desired lift and maintain a level stance. The Basic System includes front Coilover spacers and heavy-duty front Coilover shocks to enhance damping capacity while retaining the factory coil springs. Complementing the front are Fabtech's Performance rear shocks, designed to work in conjunction with the suspension system for superior ride control, featuring high-velocity 9-stage valving and a closed-cell foam insert to minimize fade. The system is also compliant with Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control systems. Important fitment notes and considerations include: this kit cannot use OEM wheels and tires, does not fit Standard Cab models, and will not fit Raptor models. Additionally, using 35-inch tires requires cutting of the fenderwell sheetmetal. The system is designed to allow for 33-inch or 35-inch tires, with specific wheel size recommendations including 18x9 with 5-inch backspacing or 20x9 with 5-inch backspacing, noting that minor trimming may be required.
