The Rockford Fosgate P400X4 is a 4-channel amplifier, part of the Punch Series, engineered to provide robust power for your car audio system. This Class A/B amplifier delivers 50 Watts RMS x 4 channels at 4-Ohm or 100 Watts RMS x 4 channels at 2-Ohm. It is also bridgeable to provide 200 Watts RMS x 2 channels at 4-Ohm, making it versatile for various speaker configurations. Key features include a cast aluminum heatsink for efficient heat dissipation and onboard Punch EQ controls that offer up to +18dB boost at 45Hz for bass and +12dB at 12.5kHz for treble, allowing you to fine-tune your audio output. The amplifier incorporates C.L.E.A.N. (Calibrated Level Eliminates Audible Noise) setup technology with clip LEDs to help match your source to the amplifier. It also features Balanced Differential Inputs to minimize noise picked up by signal cables, ensuring a cleaner audio signal. For flexibility, the P400X4 includes 12dB/octave Butterworth crossovers for both front and rear channels, adjustable from 50Hz to 250Hz, and supports high-level input with an auto-turn-on circuit. It is designed to operate within a 9-16 VDC range and requires an 8 AWG to 4 AWG power wire gauge and an 8 AWG to 18 AWG speaker wire gauge. The amplifier also benefits from Rockford Fosgate's technologies like MEHSA 3 for improved thermal management and output device longevity, DTM for even heat distribution, and NOMAD for real-time protection against shorting speaker wires and low impedances.
