4-Channel Amplifier

The JL Audio VX400/4i is an ultra-compact, high-fidelity 4-channel Class D amplifier that integrates advanced signal processing for superior audio performance. Utilizing NexD2™ switching amplifier technology, it delivers robust power output: 75 watts RMS per channel into 4 ohms, 100 watts RMS per channel into 2 ohms, and 200 watts RMS when bridged into 4 ohms. Its design prioritizes efficiency, reliability, and audio quality through features like shortened signal paths and DirectFET® MOSFET output devices. This amplifier boasts 6 channels of comprehensive digital signal processing (DSP), including 24-bit/96kHz audio processing. It offers extensive tuning options such as input routing and mixing, a 10-band parametric EQ, time-alignment with 0.01ms increments, and adjustable high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass filters with selectable slopes. All adjustments, including input sensitivity, crossover, and polarity, are made exclusively through JL Audio's TüN™ software. The software allows for three project levels of tuning: Basic, Advanced, and Expert. For basic setups on Android phones and iPhones, the TüN Express app can be used, while tablets utilize TüN Mobile. Both require a VXi-BTC Bluetooth communicator, sold separately. Connectivity options include differential-balanced inputs to minimize noise, speaker-level inputs (requiring a speaker wire to RCA adapter), high-level inputs up to 16 volts RMS, and auto turn-on via DC offset or signal sensing. It also features 2-channel digital (S/PDIF) input and output, and a 2-channel analog preamp output. For system expansion and control, the VX400/4i includes JLid™ inter-device connection ports for optional accessories like the VXi-BTC Bluetooth communicator, the VXi-HUB network hub, and the DRC-205 digital remote control. A 6-foot USB cable is included for direct connection to a computer running the TüN software. Installation requires 4-gauge power and ground leads and a 40-amp external fuse (not included).
