The Sundown Audio SAX-125.4 V2 is a versatile 4-channel, full-range Class AB car amplifier built to exacting standards. It offers flexible crossover options, enabling a 2-way active speaker setup without the need for external processing. This amplifier is capable of powering front speakers with one pair of channels while simultaneously driving a subwoofer, bridged, on the other pair, making it a suitable choice for a complete system where high power output is not the primary requirement. This amplifier boasts a rated power output of 125W x 4 channels at 4 ohms, 250W x 4 channels at 2 ohms stereo, and 500W x 2 channels when bridged at 4 ohms. Its construction includes a double-sided through-hole epoxy PCB for durability and a 2-ohm stereo stable circuit. The amplifier operates with an efficiency of 65% at 4 ohms and 100Hz, and features 12dB/octave variable crossover slopes for both high-pass and subsonic filters, with a crossover multiply function (X1, X10). Protection circuitry is integrated to safeguard against thermal issues, over-current, speaker shorts, and DC speaker output.
