It delivers a robust 50 watts RMS per channel into 4 ohms, or 75 watts RMS per channel into 2 ohms, ensuring your music cuts through ambient noise from wind, water, or the trail. With a peak power output of 150 watts per channel and the ability to be bridged to 150 watts x 2 at 4 ohms, this amplifier offers significant power in a small package. Engineered for durability, the KAC-M5014 features IP67/IP66 waterproofing, dustproofing, and ASTM B117 salt spray corrosion resistance, making it suitable for submersion up to 3.3 feet for 30 minutes and resistant to high-pressure water sprays. Its circuit boards are conformal-coated, and its connections are protected, ensuring reliable operation even in wet or dirty conditions. The amplifier offers versatile input options, accepting both RCA preamp-level signals and speaker-level inputs from factory radios. The high-level inputs feature a signal-sensing function that can automatically turn the amplifier on, eliminating the need for a separate remote turn-on wire. If using speaker-level inputs, a pair of speaker-to-line-level adapters will be required and are sold separately. For sound tuning, the KAC-M5014 includes built-in high-pass and low-pass crossovers with adjustable frequencies between 50-200 Hz and a slope of 12 dB/octave, allowing you to optimize the sound for your specific speakers and their mounting locations. Protection circuits are integrated to safeguard against overheating, shorted speaker wires, low impedance, and DC signal issues.
