4-Gauge Battery Cable Upgrade

The ZZPerformance Alternator Power Cable is a direct replacement upgrade for your vehicle's stock alternator wiring. The factory setup uses a long, 8-gauge wire that can restrict current flow. This ZZP cable utilizes a shorter, more efficient 4-gauge flexible cable to deliver power from the alternator directly to the under-hood fuse box connector. This upgrade can be safely installed and run concurrently with the OEM wiring. By improving power delivery, this cable offers several benefits, including more consistent power to the fuel pump, brighter headlights, better ignition performance, and improved operation of heated seats and the rear defrost. It also reduces alternator draw through more efficient power delivery to the battery, potentially leading to better fuel economy. The installation is designed to be quick and straightforward, typically taking about 5 minutes. A new protector boot is included to prevent accidental shorts at the alternator stud. Note: For Monte Carlo and Impala models, the terminal on the fuse box side will need to be drilled out to accommodate the larger fuse box stud.
