4-Inch Cold Air Intake System

The TCM 4" Cold Air Intake W/ Heat Shield is engineered to replace the restrictive OEM plastic intake on specific BMW models, aiming to enhance engine performance through increased airflow. This high-performance system utilizes a large cone filter paired with a widened 4-inch (100mm) intake tube, designed to allow more air into the engine. A key component of this intake is the aluminum heat shield. It is strategically placed to isolate the air filter from unwanted engine heat, ensuring that the engine receives cooler, denser air drawn from the front of the vehicle. This process is crucial for optimizing combustion and maximizing power potential.
