4-Inch Intake System

The CorkSport 4-inch Intake System is engineered for high-performance 2007-2013 Mazdaspeed 3 vehicles aiming for significant power gains. This system is designed to address the limitations of stock MAF sensors at high horsepower levels, offering increased airflow to support engines producing over 900whp. It features a mandrel-bent 4-inch 6061 aluminum tubing construction, ensuring both durability and smooth air intake. The intake utilizes a large air filter, measuring 7 inches in length with a 4.5-inch MAF inlet, to minimize flow restrictions. A billet aluminum MAF housing with pre-installed air straighteners ensures stable and accurate airflow readings, which is crucial for proper tuning and consistent engine performance. The MAF housing is TIG welded directly to the turbo inlet pipe, optimizing fitment and reducing the overall space required compared to some smaller intake systems. It retains OEM mounting points and connections for the PCV, BPV, and boost vent ports, and even fits with a 51R battery box. Installation of this intake system requires a professional tune to scale the MAF sensor for the larger housing. Additionally, modification or relocation of the battery and battery box is necessary, along with adjustments to the wiring harness in that area; the CorkSport 51R Battery Box is recommended. Certain intercooler piping setups may also not be compatible with this intake system. The system includes stainless steel T-bolt clamps to ensure a secure, leak-free installation. It comes with a 2-year limited warranty and is designed, tested, and validated in the USA.
