4-Inch Lift Kit

The BDS Suspension BDS1815H lift kit is engineered to significantly improve the stance, performance, and capability of 2000-2006 Chevy Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon 1500 4WD models equipped with AutoRide. This comprehensive kit provides a 4-5 inch front lift and a 3-5 inch rear lift, enabling the installation of up to 33-inch tires. Key to this system is BDS's No Torsion Bar Drop design, which mounts torsion bars directly to the lower A-arm for enhanced ground clearance and eliminates the need to drop the torsion bar cross-member. The front of the kit includes high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multi-piece differential relocation brackets, and heavy-duty skid plates for superior off-road protection. Steering geometry is meticulously corrected with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles, ensuring proper function and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) compatibility at the new ride height. The rear lift is achieved through new coil springs, track bar relocation, sway bar links, and extended bump stops. This kit is noted for its difficult installation, requiring an estimated 8-10 hours and specialized tools such as a cutoff wheel, reciprocating saw, torsion bar unloading tool, and a welder. Specific notes for installation include the requirement of a special tool (Kent Moore Tools Part# J-42393) for torsion bar manipulation, frame bracket modification, differential mount modification, and potential front driveline modification for all-wheel drive models. It is important to note several compatibility caveats: larger tires cannot be installed on OEM wheels, and if equipped with stock 17-inch wheels, they must be replaced with 17-inch or larger aftermarket wheels. Vehicles equipped with Auto-Ride will require part #121400 in place of the front and rear shocks. This system will not fit 2000 model Escalades.
