4-Inch Lift Kit with NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS403H is a 4-inch lift kit engineered to enhance the stance, performance, and capability of your Jeep Cherokee SJ, Full Size Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer. This comprehensive kit allows for the fitment of up to 33-inch tires, giving your vehicle an aggressive new look and improved off-road potential. Up front, the kit incorporates BDS's Glide-Ride leaf springs, which feature a multi-leaf progressive rate design for a smooth ride regardless of load. These springs are built with tapered and roll-pointed leafs for increased flexibility and even deflection, while anti-friction pads ensure a quiet operation. The front also includes brake line brackets and precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen-charged shocks. In the rear, the BDS403H utilizes a high-strength lift block and longer u-bolts to achieve a 3-inch lift. A matching set of NX2 Nitro shocks is also included to complement the front suspension components. The NX2 Nitro shocks feature a twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, and dual-welded ends for enhanced durability. Installation difficulty is rated as moderate, with an estimated installation time of 6 hours, requiring tools such as a torque wrench, hydraulic jack, and puller. Some specific notes apply to fitment: the kit is not recommended for Wagoneers or Cherokees equipped with front and/or rear track rods. Additionally, 1974-1975 models require a 131-inch wheelbase and a 7200# GVWR or more for the rear springs to fit correctly. Some 1974 J20s with the stock 401 engine may have a rear 15/16-inch spring eye stud. If your vehicle is equipped with a Dana 44 rear axle, a specific rear u-bolt (9/16 X3-1/4" X 7-1/2") will be required, which is not supplied by BDS. A Pitman arm (part #083402) is available and will increase turning radius.
