The Gibson GIB-615628 is a performance cat-back exhaust system engineered from polished T304 stainless steel for 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks equipped with 4.8L or 5.3L engines. This system is specifically designed to enhance acceleration, hill climbing, towing, and passing power, with dyno test results indicating maximum torque and horsepower gains between 1800 and 3000 RPM. It is rated for an average increase of 18-21 horsepower and 20-22 lb-ft of torque. The core of this system is the Gibson Superflow muffler, which features a baffled and chambered design without internal packing. This construction aims to deliver an aggressive exhaust note while minimizing interior cabin drone. The system includes a 4-inch diameter, polished T304 stainless steel round rolled-edge tip that clamps on. The muffler itself has an 8 x 11 x 24-inch oval body with a 3.50-inch inlet and a 3.50-inch outlet, exiting in the stock location. The system is built to be 50-state legal and California emissions compliant. Gibson Performance Exhaust backs this product with a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
