4-Inch Suspension Lift Kit with NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS123FS is a 4-inch suspension lift kit engineered to enhance the style, handling, stance, performance, and capability of 1977-1987 Chevy and GMC 1/2 ton trucks and SUVs, including the K5 Blazer, K10, and K15 models. This kit allows for the fitment of up to 35-inch tires. Up front, the lift kit features BDS's Glide-Ride leaf springs, which are designed with a multi-leaf progressive spring rate and a triple-stage leaf design to provide a smooth ride under any load. These springs offer increased wheel travel and flexibility through their tapered and roll-pointed leaves and bolt-style alignment clamps, which prevent fanning and allow for greater articulation. The front also includes a 4-inch steering arm for correction and brake line brackets, all paired with precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen-charged shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes a high-strength 4-inch lift block and longer u-bolts, accompanied by a matching set of NX2 Nitro shocks. Installation is rated as moderately easy and is estimated to take 4 hours, requiring tools such as a ball joint separation tool and a cut-off tool. Important notes for installation include verifying the rear leaf spring length (52" or 56" eye-to-eye) before ordering rear leaf springs. If your vehicle is equipped with a factory front sway bar, a front sway bar shackle link kit (sold separately) is recommended. For models with factory front dual shocks, two additional auxiliary shocks must be ordered separately if replacement is desired. Exhaust modification might be necessary to clear the front driveshaft.
