4-Inch Suspension Lift Kit with NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS138FS lift kit provides a 4-inch increase in ride height for 1988-1991 Chevy and GMC 3/4 ton Suburbans, enhancing both stance and off-road capability. This kit is engineered to accommodate up to 35-inch tires, significantly improving tire clearance for larger aftermarket wheels. Up front, the kit includes BDS's Glide-Ride leaf springs, characterized by their multi-leaf progressive spring rate design. This construction, featuring tapered and roll-pointed leafs with anti-friction pads, ensures a smooth ride across various load conditions and provides increased wheel travel and articulation. The front also incorporates a 4-inch steering arm for precise steering correction, brake line brackets, and tuned NX2 nitrogen-charged shocks. The rear of the vehicle is lifted using a high-strength 4-inch block kit, accompanied by longer u-bolts and a complementary set of NX2 Nitro shocks. Installation is rated as moderately easy, with an estimated time of 4 hours, requiring tools such as a ball joint separation tool and a cutoff tool. Important fitment notes include: The 3/4 ton models commonly came with either a 56-inch or a 52-inch rear leaf spring; it's crucial to measure the factory rear spring before ordering. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory front sway bar, a front sway bar shackle link kit (sold separately) is recommended. Additionally, if the vehicle has factory front dual shocks, two auxiliary shocks must be ordered separately to replace them. Exhaust modification may be necessary to clear the front driveshaft.
