This industry-leading blanket features a signature 4-layer construction, utilizing a ceramic silica complex matting for insulation that offers up to 3x improved heat reduction compared to competitor blankets. The external layer is crafted from a durable Titanium twill for an enhanced aesthetic and finish. This turbo blanket works by insulating the hot side of the turbo, retaining heat within the exhaust gases. This leads to hotter gases accelerating faster, improving spool-up and throttle response. By insulating the turbo, it also reduces heat dissipation into the engine bay and intake pipework, resulting in a cooler intake charge for higher performance and more consistent power delivery. Furthermore, it protects sensitive surrounding components like oil and coolant lines from the extreme heat generated by the turbocharger, thereby improving the reliability of electronics and other engine bay components. Constructed with specifically developed thread for exceptional durability during routine turbo maintenance, the blanket uses fireproof, ultra-high temperature Stainless Steel thread capable of withstanding temperatures exceeding 1300°C. The entire construction is ROHS tested and approved to ensure compliance with desired parameters. Initial heat cycles may produce smoke, which is normal and will disappear after a short period.
