By intercepting the signal from the accelerator pedal sensor, it allows for more immediate engine response and increased control over the vehicle's acceleration characteristics. The system features a high-performance internal chip for smooth signal processing and provides a total of 36 distinct sensitivity levels across City, Sport, Sport+, and Eco/Valet modes. Installation is straightforward and typically takes approximately 15 minutes, requiring no permanent modifications like cutting or splicing. The device is compact and includes integrated Bluetooth technology, enabling users to adjust throttle settings in real time using the free Pedal Commander mobile application. For increased security, a subscription-based anti-theft mode is included, which allows the user to electronically lock the throttle system to prevent unauthorized vehicle movement. Compatibility is specific to various Subaru models, including the Ascent (2019–2026), BRZ (2012–2026), Forester (2008–2026), Impreza (2006–2026), Legacy (2010–2019), Outback (2008–2025), STI (2015–2021), WRX (2015–2026), and XV Crosstrek (2013–2023). Please note that this product is not confirmed to fit the 2022 Legacy XT Touring, and owners of specific trim levels like the 2007 STI or 2017 Crosstrek base 2.0L 5-speed should consult with technical support to verify compatibility before installation.
