The Rockford Fosgate PPROV2-X is a 4-ohm passive crossover engineered for high SPL (Sound Pressure Level) applications, making it ideal for competition vehicles where maximum audio output is critical. It is purpose-built for aggressive output and rugged durability, delivering the unmistakable PUNCH sound for performance-focused builds. Key features include a precision external low-pass crossover for accurate signal control and flexible tweeter level control with three selectable attenuation levels (0 dB, –3 dB, –6 dB). This allows for precise tuning of high-frequency output to achieve optimal tonal balance across various system configurations. The crossover utilizes laminated steel-core inductors for low-loss, high-current handling, ensuring accurate filtering and smooth midrange response. High-power thermal management is achieved through ceramic resistors, aluminum heatsinks, and a vented chassis, which efficiently dissipate heat during extended, high-output listening sessions. This passive crossover is specifically designed for exclusive use with Rockford Fosgate Punch Pro and Punch Pro V2 speakers that have a 4-ohm impedance. It is not compatible with other speaker brands or impedance ratings. The PPROV2-X handles 225W RMS and 450W Peak power, with a crossover frequency of 3kHz (Low-Pass Only) and a slope of 6dB/Octave. Included in the box are two 4Ω passive crossovers, mounting hardware, and a cutout template.
