The calipers are precision CNC machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, offering exceptional strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. Each caliper features a 4-piston, opposed-piston design that improves pad wear and rigidity compared to OEM components. The calipers also incorporate aluminum pistons for superior heat resistance and include high-temperature seals and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. This kit includes two-piece rotors, which reduce rotating and unsprung weight. The unique slot design on the rotors helps to minimize braking noise and efficiently expel gas and pad debris. The included NAOC Ceramic pads are optimized for street and occasional track use, providing a 50% reduction in brake dust compared to race pads, along with reduced noise and rotor wear. These pads operate effectively within a temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. Standard with all Ksport Big Brake kits are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines resist expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel than stock rubber lines. For rotor options, customers can choose between cross-drilled or slotted rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use.
