4-Piston Caliper and Slotted Rotor Kit

This rear brake upgrade integrates advanced brake technology to ensure consistent performance under high-heat conditions. The kit features a lightweight ProComp 4-piston caliper, machined from aircraft-quality billet, weighing just over 5 lbs. It incorporates differential bore configuration, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates for improved pad wear and caliper rigidity. The opposed piston design offers enhanced performance over OEM systems, and stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Included is a 2-piece floating disc assembly with a 330mm (13-inch) diameter slotted rotor. This design helps reduce rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design expels gas and pad debris efficiently, and is recommended for vehicles with more track use than daily driving. This specific kit is designed for the rear of the 1997-2003 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 and SLK320 (R170 Chassis) models equipped with the 2.3L 2295CC l4 GAS DOHC Supercharged engine.
