It includes larger pistons than their ProComp calipers, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates for enhanced rigidity and improved pad wear. The opposed piston design and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines contribute to a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. The 2-piece floating disc assembly reduces rotating and unsprung weight, while the unique slot design on the 356mm rotor helps expel gas and debris, reducing noise. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, with slotted options recommended for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic and designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with reduced dust and noise. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) is available for those seeking maximum stopping power, though these are not recommended for street use. This kit is specifically designed to work with OEM handbrakes and is compatible with the following BMW E39 5-Series models (1996-2003): 525i (M54 2.5L), 528i (M52 2.8L), 530i (M54 3.0L), and 540i (M62 4.4L).
