This rear brake system integrates advanced technology to ensure consistent performance, continuously cooling and refreshing the brake pad surface during braking. The kit includes a lightweight, 4-piston ProComp caliper machined from aircraft-quality billet, featuring a differential bore configuration. It also incorporates aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Featuring a 2-piece floating disc assembly, this kit reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, and mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat to prevent rotor warping. The unique slot design on the rotors helps reduce braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. These slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that see more track use than daily driving. This specific kit is designed for the rear application and includes 330mm (13-inch) slotted rotors. A critical note for this kit is that the OEM handbrake will not function after installation. Application: 2013-2016 Mazda CX-5 AWD with 2.0L Naturally Aspirated engine.
