This system utilizes a single 4-pot caliper, intelligently dividing its function with two pots dedicated to the foot brake and two for the handbrake, each running on its own independent system. This Big Brake Kit is also Formula Drift legal. The caliper construction is a standout feature, employing a lightweight forged one-piece design from aerospace-quality aluminum. This monolithic structure eliminates weak spots inherent in cast or welded designs, ensuring exceptional strength and preventing fracturing, warpage, or failure over time. The caliper pistons are aluminum and equipped with heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high racetrack temperatures. Optimized heat transference and an opposed-piston design ensure smooth, even brake pad wear and consistent caliper operation, free from corrosion. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are standard. Complementing the calipers, the two-piece rotor design offers lightweight, fade-free performance and effective grip, suitable for both track and normal driving. The 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass for quicker brake response and act as efficient heat sinks. The two-piece design also allows the outer rotor to expand and contract independently, reducing warping from heat buildup. Options for Cross Drilled rotors (recommended for daily drivers for cooler operation) and Slotted rotors (recommended for track use to manage heat, dust, and gases) are available, along with various caliper colors, pad types (Street or Race), and center bell upgrades for customization.
