This system utilizes a single 4-pot caliper, where two pots are dedicated to the foot brake and the other two for the handbrake, each operating on its own independent system. Constructed from a lightweight forged one-piece caliper made from aerospace-quality aluminum, this kit is built for durability and strength, eliminating weak spots that can lead to fracturing or failure. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are standard. The two-piece rotor design provides lightweight, fade-free performance and effective grip. The independent expansion and contraction of the outer rotor section from the center significantly reduces warping due to heat buildup, and the aluminum center sections act as heat sinks. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for track use due to their ability to dissipate heat, dust, and gases more effectively. This kit includes DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Standard SC5 Street Pads offer optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions, though not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements. The kit also features a polished Titanium handbrake cylinder and lever, along with CNC-machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets for direct bolt-on installation.
