The machining is performed on high-precision numerical control machine tools, with recalculated and upgraded heat exchange surfaces.

The Malossi Aluminium cylinder is engineered for enhanced performance in 4-stroke Piaggio and Vespa engines, featuring a 49mm bore and 13mm piston pin. The cylinder is crafted from a primary aluminum alloy with hardened and tempered silicon, paired with a cylinder liner that boasts a silicon carbide coating. Precision machining on high-numerical control tools ensures tight tolerances and upgraded heat exchange surfaces for optimal thermal management. The included piston is an ultra-compact, three-ring design made from a special aluminum alloy with low thermal expansion and a tin facing on its sliding surfaces, further enhanced by lightened and reinforced construction. This cylinder kit is specifically designed to be installed exclusively with a Malossi INJTRONIC control unit, with different part numbers required depending on the specific Piaggio or Vespa model and its emission standard (Euro 3, 4, or 5). It is compatible with a wide range of Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia, and Italjet models, including various Liberty, Zip, Primavera, Sprint, Scarabeo, Sportcity One, Torpedo, Centro, and Ciak models, spanning years from 2000 to the present. The product is intended for racing use in designated locations and Malossi disclaims liability for improper use.
