The Bruno Lenco transmission system is designed for drag racers requiring extreme durability, ease of maintenance, and performance in high-horsepower applications, such as Big Block Chevrolet (BBC) or Hemi engine setups. It combines the benefits of a torque converter with the robust gear selection of a manual transmission. Features include automatic pods for seamless operation, a CO2-operated transbrake and dump valve for precise launch control, and an included high-performance torque converter with a 1.25-inch Marage input shaft. The system significantly reduces maintenance compared to traditional clutches, often requiring only fluid changes. It also improves consistency and predictability, and can reduce transmission operating temperatures by at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
