Designed and manufactured in-house, this fan is specifically created to pull more air than the factory unit, offering a substantial 40% increase in airflow. This upgrade is particularly beneficial for RB20, RB25, and RB26 engines, and is also compatible with VG engines. When tested on a dyno, the GKTECH high-performance fan demonstrated its effectiveness by reducing cool-down time by more than half, from 194°F to operating temperature. This improved cooling performance is advantageous for demanding situations, such as track use or aggressive driving. The fan is constructed from ABS plastic with a metal center, mirroring the factory fan's materials. It requires simple removal of the factory fan using four bolts and installation of the new fan. While the product itself is a direct fit, users will need to supply their own clutch pack for installation. The manufacturer recommends professional installation due to the critical nature of engine cooling components, though it is described as a straightforward process for those with general mechanical knowledge, estimated to take around 45 minutes.
