400 CI GM Small Block Dressed Long Block Engine

The BluePrint Engines BP4002CTC1D is a 400 cubic inch, GM small block compatible dressed long block engine designed for high performance. It delivers a substantial 500 horsepower and 510 ft-lbs of torque, built with a new BluePrint block featuring a one-piece rear main seal and 4-bolt mains. This engine is engineered for maximum output with internal components like forged aluminum pistons and a robust forged steel crankshaft with a 3.75-inch stroke and 5.7-inch connecting rods. High-performance BluePrint Engines aluminum cylinder heads, featuring 64cc chambers and 2.08" intake / 1.60" exhaust valves, are paired with an aggressive hydraulic roller camshaft. This camshaft offers .555" intake / .576" exhaust lift and 236° intake / 242° exhaust duration at .050 lift with a 110° lobe separation angle. The engine's 10.3:1 compression ratio necessitates the use of premium fuel, specifically 93 octane or higher, for optimal performance and to prevent detonation. This dressed long block comes complete with a Holley 850cfm Double Pumper carburetor, a satin aluminum dual-plane intake manifold, an HEI ready-run distributor, a long-style water pump, a mechanical fuel pump, and more. It also includes a harmonic balancer, timing cover, and oil pan. However, the starter is not included and must be sourced separately. Please note that the aftermarket intake manifold and aluminum cylinder heads may not be compatible with OEM accessory brackets that utilize intake or exhaust mounted bosses. The performance aluminum cylinder heads also feature a .500" raised port compared to OEM heads, which is important for component clearance and fitment considerations.
