4000 Series T3 Slotted Vented Brake Rotor

The DBA 4000 Series T3 brake rotor is engineered as a direct replacement, offering performance braking capabilities that exceed standard OE levels. This single-piece rotor is crafted from XG150 high carbon alloyed iron, which has undergone Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) to enhance its ability to withstand increased stress and heat during intense braking applications. The rotor's surface features DBAs patented T3 bi-directional slot design, which builds upon the T2 slot by incorporating precise, CNC-machined tri-symmetrical slots. This design aims to provide a quieter, more responsive, and smoother brake pedal feel by increasing the escape points for friction dust and gases, thereby improving the consistency and effectiveness of each brake stop. DBA's innovative Kangaroo Paw ventilation system is also integrated into this rotor. This unique design employs a series of 144 diamond and teardrop-patterned pillars, which DBA states results in up to a 30% increase in surface area and a 20% improvement in cooling efficiency compared to traditional straight vane designs. Additional features include anti-rust painted non-friction areas for enhanced appearance, bi-directional use due to symmetrical slotting, CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) machine-turned finish to minimize disc thickness variation and pad knock, and thermographic heat paint markings to assist in monitoring braking temperatures and rotor fatigue. This specific DBA4654S-10 rotor is designed for the front axle and has an outside diameter of 326mm. It is compatible with a range of Subaru Impreza models from 2003-2014, Subaru WRX models with Brembo brakes from 2008-2014, Subaru STI models from 2004-2017, Subaru BRZ models with Performance Package from 2017-2020, and Toyota 86 models with Brembo brakes from 2018-2020.
