Overview

The Chevrolet BP4002CT1 is a GM Small Block compatible 400 cubic inch long block engine. It is designed to produce 500 horsepower and 510 ft-lbs of torque. This engine features BluePrint Engines aluminum cylinder heads and a hydraulic roller camshaft.

The Chevrolet BP4002CT1 is a GM Small Block compatible 400 cubic inch long block engine, manufactured and machined in the USA. This powerhouse is rated at 500 horsepower and 510 ft-lbs of torque, utilizing a high-strength cast iron block and forged steel crankshaft with a 3.750" stroke and 5.700" connecting rods. The rotating assembly is internally balanced at the front and externally balanced at the rear. Equipped with BluePrint Engines aluminum cylinder heads (HP8103), this engine features 64cc chambers, 2.08" intake valves, 1.60" exhaust valves, and 220cc intake/67cc exhaust runners. The hydraulic roller camshaft boasts .555" intake and .576" exhaust lift, with 236° intake and 242° exhaust duration at .050" lift and a 110° LSA. It requires 91+ octane fuel and has a compression ratio of 10.3:1. Included with the long block are valve covers, a timing cover, and an oil pan. The performance aluminum cylinder heads have a .500" raised port compared to OEM specifications. Additional accessories such as a harmonic balancer, flexplate/flywheel, and carburetor are recommended for installation.
