The Wilton 400S Machinist Vise is a heavy-duty vise designed for demanding clamping applications. It features hardened steel replaceable jaw inserts that are machine serrated for a secure grip. The large anvil is designed for forming and shaping materials. This vise includes a locking swivel base with double lockdowns for a non-slip hold in any position. A longer spindle nut ensures smooth movement and a stronger straight-line pull. The massive cast iron vise body is virtually indestructible. It also boasts a precision slide bar that eliminates movement in the front jaw, and a sealed construction to keep lubrication in and contaminants out for smooth operation.
