Overview

The Tarett Engineering 22mm Front Sway Bar System is a lightweight, hollow sway bar designed for enhanced suspension performance. It is constructed from 4130 chrome moly alloy steel and includes adjustable 6061-T6 aluminum bearing blocks and drop links with zinc-plated steel hardware.

This sway bar system is designed for 1965-1989 Porsche 911, 912, 914, and 930 models. Note that certain model years require a conversion to a through-chassis design, which necessitates additional purchase of a weld-in U-bracket and nut plate adapter set.

This front sway bar system is constructed from aircraft-quality 4130 chrome moly alloy steel, heat-treated to ensure maximum strength and reliability. The lightweight hollow design offers the stiffness of a 22mm solid bar while significantly reducing weight. Key components such as the bearing blocks, drop links, and sway bar arms are CNC machined from high-strength, low-weight aircraft-quality 6061-T6 aluminum. The sway bar features fully adjustable front and rear drop links to eliminate suspension preload, allowing for quick and easy fine-tuning of the car's handling for various track conditions and driving styles. Oversized, precision Teflon-lined rod-ends and thermoplastic bushings impregnated with Teflon and reinforced with Kevlar contribute to smooth operation, long life, and high resistance to deflection under heavy loads, minimizing wear and rattling issues. All necessary hardware is provided, featuring metric class 8.8 fasteners. Installation instructions are included. For vehicles without original factory through-body sway bars, an adapter kit and U-bracket are required. This sway bar kit is designed to fit a range of Porsche models, including the 911 (1965-1989), 912 (1965-1969), 912E (1976), 914, 914-6 (1970-1976), and 930 Turbo Coupe (1976-1989).
