The Nitto 420S is an all-season tire specifically designed for trucks and SUVs, aiming to enhance both aesthetics and performance in various weather conditions. It features large tread blocks that increase surface contact, contributing to improved handling, especially during cornering. The tire's slanted tread blocks further enhance vehicle stability and control. Engineered for wet and dry environments, the Nitto 420S includes siping across the tread for added traction in wet conditions and a specialized center tread pattern designed to effectively channel water away from the tire contact patch. This design not only improves wet performance but also helps reduce the risk of hydroplaning. The tire construction is radial, with a size of 275/40R22 108V XL. Its overall actual diameter is 30.67 inches, and its overall actual width is 10.71 inches. The approved rim width ranges from 9.0 to 11.0 inches, and the tread depth is 10.6/32 inches. The load rating is 2208 lbs at 50 PSI. When installing tires with dimensions that differ from the stock specifications, it is recommended to recalibrate your vehicle's speedometer and odometer. Changes in tire or wheel size can affect the accuracy of gauges and the transmission's shifting patterns.
