421mm x 36mm 8-Piston Big Brake Kit

This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continually cool and refresh the brake pad surface during braking. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, available in a differential bore configuration, features significantly larger pistons compared to ProComp calipers. Forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, each caliper weighs just over 7 lbs and includes built-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper in the SuperComp series. This kit includes Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted versions, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Ksport SC5 Street Pads are standard, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads and minimize noise and rotor wear. For extreme track conditions, Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available, with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F, though not recommended for street use due to their high working temperature requirements. The kit comes with CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal feel and response.
