The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver superior stopping power for your vehicle, with a substantial 421mm rotor size and 36mm disc thickness. This advanced braking system integrates innovative technology to drastically reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling and refreshment of the brake pad surface under demanding conditions. The SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, is exceptionally lightweight (just over 7 lbs each) and features differential bore configurations with larger pistons compared to ProComp calipers. It includes protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's substantial size, each caliper requires four brake pads. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design mitigates thermal stress from extreme heat, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface. Rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expel gas and pad debris efficiently. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for more track-oriented use. This specific kit is designed for the Volkswagen CC (2009-2017) with the 2.0T engine. The kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads optimized for street and occasional track use, operating effectively between 194°F and 1022°F. They offer reduced dust and noise compared to race pads, with an average coefficient of friction between .46 and .53. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available for extreme track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F and 1472°F, though they are not recommended for street use due to their high working temperature. The brake lines are D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided lines for improved pedal feel and response. This product is made to order and non-refundable.
