The Smeding Performance 427" Mighty Mouse crate engine is built for demanding street and strip performance applications. It centers around a heavy-duty 4-bolt main block with a 9.025" deck height and a 1-piece rear main seal. The rotating assembly utilizes a 4340 forged steel crankshaft and H-beam connecting rods equipped with ARP2000 bolts, paired with 2618 forged aluminum pistons for a 10.5:1 compression ratio. The valvetrain consists of a custom Smeding hydraulic roller camshaft with .549"/.546" lift and full-roller 1.5 ratio rocker arms. Induction is handled by a Holley Strip Dominator single-plane intake manifold and Smeding aluminum cylinder heads featuring 210cc intake ports. The engine is backed by a 3-year, unlimited-mile warranty. For optimal operation, a torque converter with a 2,600-3,000 RPM stall speed is recommended. Various optional configurations are available through Smeding Performance, including specific fuel systems, ignition upgrades, and accessory kits, such as high-torque mini starters and aluminum water pumps, to customize the engine for your specific project requirements.
