The Eagle Specialty Products 445442526385 crankshaft is engineered for demanding Big Block Chevy applications, offering a robust 4.250-inch stroke and internal balance with a 2-piece rear seal. Constructed from forged AISI/ASME certified 4340 steel, this crankshaft boasts a multi-stage heat treatment for exceptional strength and durability. It features a non-twist forging and .125" fillet radiuses, which require the use of chamfered or narrowed bearings. The nitrided surface provides superior wear protection, while the journals are micropolished to less than 2 Ra for optimized oiling. Center counterweights are incorporated for enhanced high-RPM stability and strength. Eagle Specialty Products emphasizes quality, employing multi-stage heat treating, sonic testing, magnafluxing, and X-ray inspection to ensure a reliable product. The crankshaft is also shot-peened and stress-relieved to improve fatigue resistance. It is important to note that this crankshaft must be balanced to match your specific rods and pistons. This component is not for use in pollution-controlled vehicles.
