The Eagle Specialty Products forged 4340 steel crankshaft is engineered for demanding high-performance applications, offering superior strength and durability. Its non-twist forging, multi-stage heat-treatment, and shot-peening processes ensure exceptional reliability under stress. This crankshaft features a 4.375 in. stroke and internal balance, designed for optimal engine performance. It includes a 2-piece rear main seal style and a standard snout style. The unit is lightened and requires narrow bearings, with rod and main bearings sold separately. Quality assurance measures include X-ray, magnaflux, and sonic testing. The crankshaft is equipped with chamfered oil holes for improved lubrication, .125 in. radius on rod and main journals for enhanced strength, and precision-ground, micro-polished journals to less than 5 R.A. A target bob weight of +/- 2 percent significantly reduces balancing time, streamlining the assembly process.
