455 20cc Spherical Dish Forged Piston

The T/A Performance 455 20cc SRP forged piston is engineered for optimal performance in Street/Strip 455 engine builds. Its distinctive 20cc Spherical Dish design directs combustion forces to the center of the piston, promoting a straighter downstroke and concentrating energy for a more efficient, horsepower-improving cycle. Constructed with advanced features found in Pro Stock pistons, this forged piston includes a Reduced Contact Area top ring land, an Accumulator Groove to prevent ring flutter, and Double Pin Oilers for enhanced wrist pin lubrication. Oil Return Holes aid in returning excess oil to the crankcase and assist in piston cooling. Contoured skirts minimize weight, while a specially Cam Ground Body ensures even load distribution, reducing stress on cylinder sleeves and mitigating cylinder wall breakage. The generous valve reliefs accommodate virtually any valve lift. Weighing an average of 856 grams with the wrist pin, these pistons are approximately 200 grams lighter than stock and 130 grams lighter than production forged pistons. This piston yields approximately 9.8:1 compression on most 455s using stock 68-70 cc chambers and approximately 10.2:1 compression with T/A Performance Stage 1 and Stage 2 (64 cc chambers) heads. The design allows for press or floating pin configurations on stock, forged, or billet rods.
