475C Chain Drive Camshaft Kit

The S&S Cycle 475C Chain Drive Camshaft Kit is engineered for 2017 and newer Harley-Davidson M8 engines, specifically designed to deliver a 100 HP boost when paired with appropriate intake and exhaust upgrades. This kit offers a convenient bolt-in installation, as it is compatible with all stock valve train components, eliminating the need for extensive modifications. Each kit is manufactured in the USA and comes complete with all required bearings, o-rings, and hardware for a straightforward installation. For optimal results and ease of installation, S&S Cycle suggests their Quickee Adjustable Pushrods with Cover Keepers, which can save labor and time by avoiding the removal of rocker boxes and coolant lines. It is also recommended to replace the tappets when replacing the cam, with Precision Tappets for 2017-19 M8 models being a suggested option. The 475C camshaft features specific valve timing, duration, lift, and lobe center line specifications for both front and rear cylinders. The front cylinder has intake valve timing at 6.2/27.2 degrees, exhaust at 55.5/28.5 degrees, with durations of 213.5 degrees (intake) and 263.9 degrees (exhaust). Lift is .475 for both, with lobe center lines at 100.5 (intake) and 103.5 (exhaust), and lift at TDC of .107 (intake) and .208 (exhaust). The rear cylinder has intake valve timing at 2.2/31.2 degrees, exhaust at 52.5/20.2 degrees, with durations of 213.5 degrees (intake) and 252.5 degrees (exhaust). Lift is .475 for both, with lobe center lines at 104.5 (intake) and 106.0 (exhaust), and lift at TDC of .093 (intake) and .170 (exhaust).
