47RE Racing Valve Body

The ATS Diesel Performance 47RE Racing Valve Body is engineered to resolve common issues found in the stock transmission valve body, specifically concerning the throttle valve (TV valve) and its bore. Stock valve bodies, often made from soft materials, are prone to wear and sticking, leading to malfunction and improper shifts. ATS has developed an innovative solution using a Hydro-balanced Valve and Sleeve assembly. This design alters both the shape and material of the valve, and incorporates a hardened sleeve into the valve body's bore. This prevents sticking and eliminates bore wear, ensuring the valves perform smoothly even after extended use. This upgraded valve body modifies hydraulic flow to achieve a more aggressive line pressure slope. It provides quality shifts and improved torque converter clutch engagement. This enhanced functionality and quality are applied across ATS's Towing, Racing, and Stand-Alone-Programmable Valve Bodies. The Racing Edition is optimized to work with 3000RPM governor springs and allows for 1st-2nd gear lock-up, offering increased reliability for demanding applications. This valve body is compatible with Dodge 2500/3500 models equipped with the 5.9L Cummins diesel engine and an automatic transmission. Specific fitment includes: 1996-Early 1998, 1998.5-Early 1999, and 1999.5-2002 model years. It is available in both Racing and Towing configurations, with slight price differences.
