The STM Tuned EvoScan Serial Logging Cable offers a direct connection for logging data from your AEM UEGO wideband gauge using EvoScan software. This 48-inch cable is constructed with professionally soldered contacts and features separate blue and black wires, allowing for flexible remote mounting under your dashboard for easy access during data acquisition. This cable connects to the serial output of the AEM Digital UEGO gauge. If your laptop has a serial port, no additional adapters are needed. Within EvoScan, you can enable external wideband logging and select the AEM wideband option from the dropdown menu. For users without a native serial port, a USB to serial converter (Prolific brand recommended) and its associated software will be necessary. Installation involves connecting the blue wire to the AEM WBO2 serial cable's blue analog wire and the black wire to chassis ground. Proper COM port configuration (typically COM port 3) in both Windows Device Manager and EvoScan is crucial for successful operation, as higher COM port numbers can cause known bugs in the software. This cable is specifically designed for the Evolution VIII, IX (2003-2006), and Evolution X (2008-2015) models.
