The PRL Motorsports 4847RS Drop-In Turbocharger Upgrade is engineered for 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T models, targeting owners seeking substantial power gains without compromising the vehicle's inherent responsiveness and drivability. Designed as a true drop-in replacement, this turbocharger ensures installation without requiring any vehicle modifications, maintaining OEM-style fitment. The "RS" designation signifies "Rapid Spool," highlighting the design's focus on delivering stock-like spool characteristics while supporting a greatly increased airflow and power output potential. At its core, the 4847RS utilizes advanced materials and modern turbocharger technology. Key components include a 7075 point-milled aluminum compressor wheel (48.32mm inducer / 60mm exducer / 62.19mm extended tip), an Inconel 713C turbine wheel (41.5mm inducer / 47mm exducer), a 42CrMo shaft, ZL101A compressor cover, QTSi-Mo turbine housing, HT250 CHRA, and a Si3N4 ceramic bearing system. The wastegate arm is also constructed from Inconel for durability. Benefits include direct fitment, no modifications needed, stock-like spool and response, and significantly greater airflow and power potential compared to the factory turbo. The package includes the turbocharger, a support bracket, and a gasket kit.
