48RE Stage 1 Transmission Package

The ATS Diesel Performance 48RE Transmission Package is a heavy-duty transmission designed for Dodge Cummins trucks. The 48RE transmission is identified as a weak point, even in stock form, and this package aims to enhance its strength and reliability. It features increased clutch counts in the Forward, Overdrive, and Overdrive Brake clutch packs for higher torque capacity, utilizing Borg Warner and Raybestos clutch materials for durability and performance. Hard parts are upgraded, including a billet strut anchor to replace the factory version and a billet accumulator piston. The valve body is modified to allow torque converter lockup in 1st and 2nd gear, fluid circulation in park/reverse/neutral, and increased line pressure, leading to smoother, quicker, and firmer shifts.
