Overview

The Powerhouse Racing adjustable cam gear is designed for the 4G63 engine. This gear is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum with a hard anodized gray outer finish for durability. It uses stainless hardware that will not tarnish or rust. The cam gear offers a unique locking position to eliminate slip and includes 0-degree position locks. An optional adjustment kit allows for timing adjustments from 1 to 9 degrees, positive or negative.

The Powerhouse Racing Billet Adjustable Locking Cam Gear is engineered for the 4G63 engine, providing critical adjustability for camshaft tuning. Precisely dialing in valve opening and closing events, as well as lobe centerline, is essential for meeting camshaft manufacturer specifications and optimizing power delivery. By utilizing this adjustable cam gear, tuners can potentially unlock additional horsepower and tailor the power curve to specific performance needs. All included hardware is made from stainless steel, ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion. A standout feature of the PHR Billet Adjustable Locking Cam Gear is its integrated locking mechanism, a design exclusive for the 4G63 engine, which effectively prevents any chance of slippage. Standard units come with 0-degree position locks, suitable for most applications. For advanced tuning, the optional PHR Adjustment Lock Kit enables users to precisely adjust cam timing in increments of 1 to 9 degrees, both positively and negatively, offering extensive customization potential.
