The Tomei TA301B-MT01A is a complete camshaft set engineered for the Mitsubishi 4G63 engine in Evolution VII-VIII models. This kit includes both intake and exhaust camshafts, featuring a 272-degree duration with 10.70mm of lift for the intake and 10.20mm for the exhaust. However, it is noted that for EVO 8/9 models using Tomei Valve Springs, Mitsubishi OEM EVO 7 Valve Spring Retainers are required. The set is part number TA301B-MT01A, with individual intake and exhaust camshafts available under part numbers TA301D-MT01A and TA301F-MT01A, respectively. Adjustable cam gears (part number TA302A-MT01B) are also available separately to fine-tune valve timing. Installation of performance camshafts requires specialized knowledge and tools. Tomei advises that the attachment of some products may require specially trained mechanics and specialized tools. Furthermore, it is important to note that some performance parts may not be legal for use on public roads and may not meet legal requirements for street use.
