The Tomei Oil Slicing Baffle is engineered for the Mitsubishi 4G63 engine, fitting Evolution IV, V, VI, and VII models from 1996-2006. This component enhances oil management within the engine assembly, which is crucial during high-performance driving. This product functions as both an oil baffle and an oil cutter. As a baffle, it shelters oil in the pan by blocking excess oil scooped by the crank, thereby stabilizing oil pressure, preventing cavitation in passages, and ensuring a secure oil supply to related components. The oil cutter function slices off excess oil from the crankshaft, preventing friction loss and leading to increased power output at higher RPMs and improved torque throughout the entire RPM band. Constructed from SUS304 stainless steel with a 1mm thickness and laser-cut precision, this baffle is designed for increased efficiency over standard baffles, aiming to prevent catastrophic issues like oil pressure drops.
