The G Force RCAEC2-4L80 is a transmission crossmember specifically engineered for 1968-1972 GM A-Body vehicles with convertible or boxed frames, compatible with 4L80E and 4L85E transmissions. Installation instructions detail using the provided 7/16″ hardware and potentially enlarging frame holes to a 1/2″ drill-bit. For applications requiring new Grade #8 fasteners, using stock size 3/8″ hardware is recommended. This crossmember is finished in a durable black powder coat and includes all necessary mounting hardware. A polyurethane transmission mount, such as the GMTM, is recommended and sold separately. For 1968-1972 convertibles or boxed frames, the distance between frame mounting holes should be 47-1/2 inches; measuring your frame is advised before ordering to ensure proper fitment. The product is compatible with various GM A-Body models including the 442, Cutlass, F85, GTO, LeMans, Tempest, GS, Skylark, Chevelle, El Camino, Malibu, Monte Carlo, Special, Sport Wagon, Vista Cruiser, and Grand Prix.
