The Circle D 4R100/E4OD Pro Series torque converter is a high-performance upgrade designed for applications demanding significant power. With its 258mm diameter and a smaller 10 1/4" core, this converter is engineered to improve launch characteristics while maintaining excellent top-end efficiency, making it an ideal choice for turbo-equipped vehicles like the Ford Lightning. This Pro Series converter is built with robust materials and meticulous assembly processes. It features 100 square inches of clutch lining for reliable Wide Open Throttle (WOT) lock-up. The construction methods include furnace brazing for superior strength and hand TIG welding for precision. Internal components include durable Torrington bearings, a billet aluminum front cover, and a billet piston for enhanced longevity under stress. The flanged style impeller hub further contributes to anti-flex durability. Each unit is hand-assembled to exacting tolerances, ensuring consistent performance and reliability. Despite its lightweight design, this torque converter is built for incredible strength, capable of handling demanding conditions. It is compatible with both Ford 4R100 and E4OD transmissions, with options for various stall speeds and bolt patterns to suit specific performance needs.
