The ZZPerformance 4T65E Shift Kit is engineered to significantly improve shifting speed for your 4T65E transmission, applicable to both standard and Heavy Duty variants. This kit offers a customizable shifting experience, allowing you to fine-tune firmness across different gears. Unlike competitor kits, ZZP provides a comprehensive set of shims and detailed instructions, enabling precise adjustment of 1-2 shifts and 2-3 shifts, ensuring you achieve the desired shift quality. Included in the kit are multiple shim sizes for granular control, a new transmission filter, and comprehensive installation guidance. The product is designed for a straightforward installation, with an estimated time of 2 hours, and it is recommended to use Dexron 6 fluid during installation. While shift kits can enhance clutch life, it's noted that they may increase the risk of hard part failure. ZZPerformance advises against using this kit in vehicles equipped with 20-inch wheels. The added rotational weight from larger wheels can increase the stress on the input shaft, potentially leading to breakage. This kit is compatible with 4T65E transmissions in '98+ GT/LS models, '97+ GTP/GS/SSEi models, and also fits the Pontiac Montana.
