The Texas Speed & Performance TSP-7400-16 pushrod kit includes 16 one-piece, SAE 4130 chromoly pushrods, each with a 5/16" diameter and a .080" wall thickness. These components are case hardened to Rc 60 and precision formed to exacting tolerances. Oil holes are drilled and chamfered to prevent stress fractures and cracks, contributing to their durability and high RPM stability. These pushrods are essential for any valvetrain upgrade on LS-based engines, especially when upgrading camshafts. The standard LS1/LS2/LS6/L92/LS3/L99 length is 7.400", as featured in the TSP-7400-16 kit. Texas Speed & Performance also offers an adjustable pushrod measuring tool (25-PRChecker) for those building custom valvetrain setups to ensure the exact pushrod length for specific applications. Proper pushrod length is critical and can be affected by numerous variables, including block deck height, head deck height, head stud boss height, rocker arm design, cam base circle size, lifter design, and valve stem length. It is important to never assume compatibility, as a pushrod that fits one engine may not work on another due to component variations.
