The Ford Performance Parts M-6009-B53 is a 5.3L Modular Stroker short block engineered as a robust foundation for building high-performance modular engines. This assembly is designed to accommodate a wide range of power aspirations, whether naturally aspirated or supercharged, and is compatible with 2, 3, or 4 valve cylinder head configurations. This short block is constructed with premium components, including a Ford Performance M-6010-BOSS50 cast iron performance block for durability. It features a forged Eagle 3.750-inch stroke steel crankshaft with an 8-bolt flywheel pattern and forged Eagle 5.850-inch H-beam connecting rods equipped with ARP 2000 bolts for superior strength. The included Mahle forged aluminum pistons have a dish design that ensures compatibility with various valve head combinations, though a piston-to-valve check is required depending on your chosen camshaft. The M-6009-B53 is bored and stroked to 5.3 liters (323 cubic inches) and is precision internally balanced. It comes assembled and ready for the addition of your selected heads, camshaft, and timing set. Note that for 2005-2010 Mustang 3V applications, the motor mount adapter part number M-6031-BOSS50 is necessary for proper installation.
